Responsible for overall software projects being developed at ZABSolutions (In-house software development unit of SZABIST)

- Making sure the adherence and compliance of standard Object Oriented practices.
- Coordination with users on academic and administrative business processes engineering.
- Analyze, enhance and maintain technical documentation necessary to make the assigned systems operational and efficient.
- Design and use troubleshooting strategies to resolve software related problems.
- To ensure that all necessary documentation and system operating instructions are completed for use by staff, consultants and end-users.
- Develop training programs to promote staff development within departments affected by utilization or revision of computer systems
- Assess the functionality and limitations of various hardware and software components.
- Provide Database Administration Services, implementing backup and recovery procedures and policies and conducting performance test & tuning
- Support product delivery requirements and commitments for computing systems software by performing project management activities such as estimating, prioritizing personal work, and providing metrics information
- Support group and custom use of computer software and hardware by participating in acquisition of computing resources
- Knowledge of available system software, computer equipment, regulations, structure, techniques and management practices to design complex systems and subsystems
- Test delivered systems/routines/programs to ensure the accuracy, efficiency and robustness of the developed code
- Track computing system usage and systems' performance
- Control computing system configuration and access

Mr. Shahid Khan joined Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) on 5th May 2015 as Manager ZAB Solutions. He reports to the Director of IT of SZABIST. The responsibility of ZAB Solutions department is to look after all software systems that are used in all 5 campuses of SZABIST.

As the head of ZAB Solutions, Mr. Shahid Khan is running the operations of the department very smoothly and effectively. He has been found a very dedicated and dependable resource for the SZABIST. His services to the institution have been recognized by the higher management on many occasions. With his efforts, the ICT systems and ICTs culture at SZABIST is growing every day.

Mr. Shahid Khan has an MS degree in Software Engineering discipline from Mohammad Ali Jinnah University Karachi. He is currently pursuing his PhD degree at SZABIST in the Computer Science discipline.

Naveed Ahmed holds a Masters degree in Computer Science from SZABIST University, Karachi. He joined SZABIST University in 2007 as a Computer Lab Assistant. Since 2015, he is working as a Senior Software Engineer in the ZABSolutions department of the SZABIST University.

In addition to overseeing all functions of the ZABSolutions, he provides technical support to all SZABIST campuses, including the Dubai campus.

Working since 1993 in Software Development field. Having vast experience of Business Analysis, Requirement Gathering, Software based Solutions development and their Techno-Functional Deployment in several industries in multiple programming languages.

Ezzat Gul joined SZABIST on 12th September 2019 as a Software Engineer. He reports to the Manager of ZABSolutions. Previously he worked in Infobits Co. Pvt Ltd as Sr. Software Engineer and around two years he worked at there before joining SZABIST.

Nazar Muhammad joined The Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology (SZABIST) on 1st february 2021 as a Software Engineer. He reports to the Manager of ZABSolutions. Previously he worked in KASBIT university as a Software Engineer.
